What happens during a Coaching session?
During Coaching sessions, the Coach empowers the client to set goals and establish accountability for personal and professional success. The goals are then typically broken down into achievable milestones, which facilitates progress tracking and gives the client a sense of continuous accomplishment. The Coach also helps the clients activate their motivations and eliminate any blocks to their progress.
What outcomes can I expect from Coaching?
The Coaching experience is different for everyone. However, clients do report common outcomes. Typically, Coaching guides you to a point of feeling better about where you are in your life and where you going. It helps increase self-esteem, build communication skills, accomplish better habits, reach a proper work/life balance, and most importantly, achieve a stronger and deeper connection with yourself.
Does Nobel Coaching work with Clients with ADD/ADHD?
Yes, provided both the parents and the student are committed to making changes. As the approach used in Coaching strongly focuses on goal setting, motivation, organizational skills, problem-solving, planning and scheduling, social skills, impulse control, etc., it is especially suitable for individuals with ADD/ADHD, as these are some common challenges that form a part of the disorder. Nobel Coaching was actually inspired by the challenges faced by the founder’s son, diagnosed with ADHD at a young age. With Coaching and Tutoring combined, the family was able to help him make significant and visible changes both in his personal life and in his academic pursuits.
Do parents have to be involved in Coaching? What if a student doesn’t want parents to be involved?
For students under the age of 18, it is, in practically all cases, necessary for parents to be involved in Coaching. The student forms a part of a family and is greatly influenced by it. Issues in this environment affect the student on many levels and, until the issues on each of these levels are resolved, the student’s progress can easily be sabotaged. Therefore, parents need to take an active role in making a change in themselves and the relationship with their child in order for progress to happen. It is the Coach’s obligation to form a trusting relationship with the student and make him/her confident that anything that is shared during the session stays exclusively between the Coach and the student.
Do you support individuals going through career change and/or challenges?
Yes. We have Coaches who specialize in helping individuals who are going through career changes or other challenges.
Can you help me to convince my son or daughter to use Nobel Coaching & Tutoring services? And if yes, how?
The first rule for Coaching to work is that the person needs to be motivated to make a change. However, as there are many things we don’t do just because we are afraid or simply don’t decide to try them, this can be the case with Coaching as well. That is why it can, in some cases, be beneficial to “convince” the person to try Coaching and let him/her decide if he/she wants to continue. Concrete advice on how to accomplish this can be discussed in-person with the Coach.
