I have been a math teacher for the past 17 years and have held many one-on-one sessions with students during that time. I’ve worked with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and some of my past students have even asked for help while they were in college. I am highly experienced with students of all levels and abilities, including students with ADHD and Autism. My goal is to make connections with students so that I can find a way to connect math to their world and learn how they learn. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach in math, and as a tutor, I feel it’s my job to unlock the student’s ability by finding the approach that works for them. I appreciate Ms. Fish because when she teaches she can get everyone in the class to understand the curriculum. She has a way of teaching that makes all kids participate in activities and learning in general. She cares about how her students are doing in school and sits down the kids and walks them through what they think they need to do to help improve something.

I appreciate Ms. Fish’s unique ability to care for and help each student to excel in math. She also helps students understand the material thoroughly without any possible areas of confusion and helps them to apply their knowledge.

When it comes to Ms. Fish and how I appreciated working with her, there’s obviously more than a few reasons. She never gave up on me in my freshman year, and I seriously was a tough student to deal with. Even after passing and leaving her class, she still offered to check in on me throughout my high school years. A small deed that mattered a lot to me. Mrs. Fish has my appreciation for being an amazing teacher who can deal with even the most stubborn student while keeping patience and determination. I appreciate anyone who didn’t give up on me while I was in high school and extremely stubborn.
